care with homespun birth includes:
- Free initial consultation at which time we will go over any questions you may have.
- Your second visit will include medical history, prenatal lab work, and prenatal appointment.
- Prenatal checkups every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks from 28-36, a 36 week house visit, and then weekly until you deliver.
- Personalized birth class.
- Labor and delivery care. I attend home birth as well as birth at the Birth Suite.
- Postpartum care includes a 1 day visit after the birth, 3 day phone check in or home visit, and a 7 day visit to your house providing you are in Yellowstone County. I will see you again for a 6 week appointment.
- Newborn care includes newborn bloodspot screening (metabolic screening), newborn screening for CCHD (critical congenital heart defect), newborn hearing screening, vitamin K (if desired).
- Availability 24/7 for any emergency.
- Phone calls or text messages for nonemergent issues or questions.
